Weight Loss-- Easier Said Than Done

In October of 2009, I decided I was unhappy with myself. My weight had reached an extreme high of 285. Being (at the time) 16 years old and weighing THAT much, is a really horrible feeling. I am one of those people who loves to eat. I got very depressed about my weight and I ate very little. I would eat supper every day. That's it. It wasn't healthy. But, it was all I could think of that would work. And let me tell you, it DID work. I lost 60 pounds in 5 months. Then I got to thinking, "Hey! if I can do THIS, I wonder if exercise will make me lose more?" So, as you can guess, I started exercising. I lost 20 more pounds. But, then my ego got huge because people were telling me how great I looked. I got very off-track. I gained 15 pounds back. :( Then recently I decided I am going to lose weight until I get to my goal weight of 120. I have lost 8 pounds so far. I've been back on my diet and exercise of 2 weeks. I think I can work with 8 pounds every 2 weeks. It has been a life changing experience. I will NOT let myself gain any more back. I'm using an online program named SparkPeople. It has helped me tremendously. It is totally free. And it helps you keep track of everything. It's amazing. It takes a few days to get accustomed to using it. But, once you get the hang of it, it helps so much. I love it. I hope others with weight issues will try to lose weight. It causes so many health problems. Which, lucky for me, I never had. And I plan on keeping that way. :)

Here is a BEFORE picture of me...

I am going to show some pictures of me over the past 9months...

It's all so amazing how it CAN be done. And I know I could NOT have done any of this without God. :)

Emily!!! I am so proud of you!! You look amazing!! Keep it up girly!! Love ya so much!! Also, you don't look like 208 you look like 150!!! Which is good!! 120 for your age isn't that good. It's a little to healthy. You should go for something like 150 or 160. I am proud of you though because it is hard to come on here and tell everybody how much you weigh and stuff like that!! Good job em!! I also heard your almost done with personal progress??? Woot! Woot! Now all you need is to move down here to Utah! ha ha jk[: Love, camille[:
